About me
I have been practising reflexology for over 25 years, qualifying at the Bayly School of Reflexology in February 1996, the first Reflexology School in England, after being trained by Nicola Hall (international author of several books on Reflexology and the Head of the British Reflexology Association). I have worked as a Reflexologist in several fitness and beauty salons.
A year later I decided to train in massage with the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) and qualified in May 1997.
In 1998 I was honoured to be asked to join the Whole Person Therapy Trust to work as a Reflexologist and Massage Therapist. It was the experience of a client I had worked on who had Multiple Sclerosis that brought me to their attention. Their work was for clients who had either a long-term illness or who were terminally ill in Kent. These assignments could involve going into a local hospital working on the clients there, sometimes in cancer wards. This is the work I am the most proud of, as I had always particularly wanted to help people with serious illnesses.
Reflexology has often involved me working on pregnant ladies and also after they have had their babies to rebalance their bodies. I also had the great pleasure of working on a lady during labour.
I was asked to do several pamper days on the staff in a local primary school. After this I was asked to a school complementary health day to go into the classrooms and show the children how to do reflexology.
Since my first two qualifications, I have gone on to add many treatments to the list.
